Finally looking at the arm

  Alola, Alolan Pokemon!

And one of my favourites, too!

Finally I was wondering when they would put a Gen 8 Pokemon besides the legendarys in the dungeon hope we get to see more of them later on

I am so hoping that the spa staff would do a dance session with Darkrai~ afterwards, a relaxing massage with calming music. After all, he's been through a LOT with the others and before that.

Save da audinos, heal Jen!

Well this will be... interesting to see

I really doubt that Alakazam’s news about Mewtwo is going to be very relaxing.
But what’s the worst that could happen!

Is this the first time we've seen Gen 7 Pokemon?!

Adventurers needs time to rest sometimes, so use it as much as you need!

Yep, Wes knows all about using scents to massage Pokemon. Remember the Cologne Case? I love all these little nods!

@Phil Swift (Guest)
To be fair, Darkrai already knows... Mewtwo told him after he freed Lovrina from nightmares. It's Wes I'm worried about, actually -- Jen, Gengar, and Team Charm all have had time to learn to trust Mewtwo; N probably knew. But then, Wes did say he had to get to know Mewtwo so... maybe not.

posted by Nightingale (Guest) on September 4th, 2018, 7:49 am

Actually...I don't think N knew about him killing the scientists. N likely only knows that Team Rocket are responsible for funding and overseeing the experiments that created him. In fact, I really doubt he told N about all the things he did before they met. I wonder if something like that would cause a rift between the two of them. And yeah, Wes wasn't always the good guy, but even he never went so far as to actually kill anyone.

It remains to be seen whether or not N accepts what he did or not.

Those Oricorio are huge...!

posted by Bwsrfn11 (Guest) on September 4th, 2018, 8:56 am

Even though Oricorios are alolan pokemons, I somehow get Balinese vibes from them. Maybe just me.

Anyways, Jen'll probably tell everyone that she is fine and doesn't need any further healing. Plus, she can probably heal herself, considering she's an Audino.

I don’t think Jen knows recover or anything of the like, though. She only knows how to heal others, and the people escorting her are two older humans in her eyes, so as the child she is she might listen.

Darkrai Is Going To A Spa.....

I guess it is good to relax sometimes. Darkrai has had a long trip and he really needs this.

@Dragongirl101, I agree, page 663:The End is when Victinin bit her. After 35 pages, you would think Jen would have healed her arm if she could?

@ILeninVelikyNamPutOzaril, Can Jen use Healing Wish on herself?

posted by SmartTurtle04 on September 4th, 2018, 10:59 am

My baby darkrai finllay getting what he needs

posted by Truefan108 on September 4th, 2018, 11:31 am

We'll see about the spa treatment if it involves a massage some of those can hurt a lot and that could set Darkrai off

posted by Kattra on September 4th, 2018, 1:46 pm

@SmartTurtle04 - Healing Wish does not work on the user.

In the mainline games, the user faints, but the next Pokemon takes the field with full HP and cured status. This is what VF uses since the PMD version is more OP.

In PMD, the user is left with 1 HP, but all allies are healed to full HP, PP, and status. The move will always work even if the user has 1 HP remaining.

The move Snatch can rob Healing Wish's effect from the user's target(s) and give it to the Snatcher who then uses the move even if they can't normally learn it.

1% In PMD Games?

@Ngamer01, thank you for the info. I guess Healing wish would be overpowered if you could use it on yourself. Do you think Darkrai’s Spa day is going to backfire hilariously?

Orthodox reference?

I hope nothing bad happens to Jen's arm. Though, I think she will have some scars to show for it.

posted by Ralmon (Guest) on September 4th, 2018, 5:03 pm

This got me thinking... SulfurBunny, how do you choose which Pokémon you are gonna use for specific scenes (aside from plot-relevant ones like team ACT or even Butterfree)?

What I mean is how far ahead were you planning here? Did you have the spa in mind? Did you have other Pokémon in mind before you saw Oricorio from Sun and Moon? Did you even know if there was gonna be a spa scene before?

posted by Tallen (Guest) on September 4th, 2018, 8:57 pm

In Pokemon XD massage treatments were the fastest way to purify a shadow Pokemon. I never used it though cause it felt weird as heck, unless purifing was required to continue and I was impatient. If we are going by game logic I can't see it backfiring worse then battling does.

Please let the Spa make his hair into a Bishie! It must be done! But in all seriousness I expect to see his face come out of there looking like pure bliss.

I just hope Jen's arm won't scare.

posted by MercenaryX on September 4th, 2018, 11:54 pm

@SmartTurtle04 probably not healinng wish, but you can probably let someone use mirror coat, and let Jen fire to them. The heal pulse should reflect back to Jen.

But well, idk about this though lol, just a hunch.

That arm is 100% infected...
that victini probably had rabies, eaugh! :P

I'll be very honest.
I'm very interested in Darkrai's anatomy.
Like, dude. The Oricorios can't adapt to his anatomy THAT fast. Especially when Darkrai's a first timer, and he's a legendary pokemon AND he has a weird body shape.
unless it's the same spa process and it doesn't need knowledge of pokemon anatomy like the humans

  Good choice on Oricorios but..

This sizing seems a bit off.

I naturally assume Pokémon vary in size but they seem really big.

posted by IcyLucario (Guest) on September 6th, 2018, 7:23 pm

To those saying the Oricorios are quite big,

I propose a theory:

Totem Oricorios.
