First time appearing after like, 50 pages?

Wow Wes, I didn't know you had so much sarcasm in you. Though you'll probably will need to vent after knowing that you miss the entire fun.

N is so sweet

But he’s angry soooo

Anyway, I’m wondering what kind of things he heard as a kid. Any ideas anyone?

@PrettyWittyKitty Nope, but considering Ghetsis was (I think...) the first human he had any contact with, I think it's safe to assume it was some pretty messed up shit...

posted by Blaze01 (Guest) on July 27th, 2018, 9:26 am

As I recall Ghetsis kept N super isolated, and only permitted him to interact with pokemon that had been mistreated by their trainers or something like that.

posted by Farteous (Guest) on July 27th, 2018, 9:30 am

@PrettyWittyKitty Yeah, @Farteous (Guest) is exactly right. From Bulbapedia:

"When N was young, he was orphaned and left in the woods; here, he was raised by Pokémon. One day, Ghetsis came, claiming to be his father [...] As a child, he was raised together with Pokémon and was isolated from humans. Ghetsis would only let N see Pokémon that had been hurt by humans."

So N only grew up with (A) Wild Pokemon that had never been around humans before, and (B) Pokemon abused by humans. It's why he's so shocked when he first meets the player in B/W: Your starter Pokemon tells N that they like you and they aren't afraid of you, which confuses him.

I wonder how Lovrina will react to her sister accidentally killing Victini.

N and Wes are Back!

We get to see what has happened to Lovrina!@PJSam I wonder how Lovrina will react when she hears Jen and Co. fought statues of Legendary Pokemon. @ILeninVelikyNamPutOzaril It has been 102 pages since we last saw N and Wes.

There's a sight for sore eyes. This page has meaning to me. (I had been in the hospital earlier this week.)

EDIT - I got out of the hospital yesterday so this is a "Homecoming" to me here. =3

unpopular gaming opinion:

i think the PMD series... is pretty good.

Confusion and Conclusion

@darth deebious the wise, are you being sarcastic? I don't think your opinion is unpopular. (Those games are amazing.) @Chendra Limiarja, Are you talking about Mercrow and Houndoom? They are not ashes, they are probably with the Pokemon from Treasure Town. Page 537,Panel 3.

Yeah, N and Wes are back! Even though they didn't leave Pokemon Square!

No, keeper, you are forever last when you start having an obsession with being first.

I Will Keep That in Mind

@darth deebious the wise, Good to know. Do you think that Hoopa will come back, now that everyone is reunited?

posted by SmartTurtle04 on July 29th, 2018, 7:11 pm

@SmartTurtle04 i'm pretty sure he will, and for the sake of the comic his favor is not gonna be as easy as opening jerry's stoopid mayonnaise jar.

Interesting Choice of Words.

@darth deebious the wise: You used a Rick and Morty reference? So you are saying that this may end well for Jen and Co.? At least we will know more tomorrow, on Tuesday!

@PrettyWittyKitty
Adding to what @Farteous (Guest) and @Bwsrfn11 (Guest) said, what N is specifically referring to in panel 3. He is referring to what Ghetsis made him feel throughout his life-something contrary to what he actually says to the player in the Black and White games.

Ghetsis not only brought pokemon that were abused by their trainers (mind these were pokemon stolen by Plasma grunts, after defeating their trainers) but possibly also exaggerated the extent of the suffering brought upon them by their trainers(or probably just put it in a disturbing way, the same could be said even of us in the pokemon games especially in Nuzlocke playthroughs) and its quite possible that Ghetsis was a demanding father who had a similar though somewhat darker vision along the lines of what N had been saying with his pokemon liberation-and could have somewhat indoctrinated N into believing in it.

What N is probably talking about in this panel is the things Lovrina's been saying to convince him and possibly rationalize to herself about her evil deeds-which is why Wes speaks about her trying to get to him. Its probable she knows about his dark past and is trying to get the dark side to show. N says he's heard worse because he's been through the exact same thing with his father, who pretty much lied to him and used him every step of the way but spoke of it as if he were his benefactor. One of the possible methods both might have used is blaming N somehow for everything that has happened-its quite obvious he is the type of person to rush to take responsibility and this is an easy way to get to him and make him believe he's responsible and turn him to their side in his bid to make things right.
