Of course he is old aren't all the legendaries and mythicals well except for Mewtwo and Shaymin

Why Shaymin?

They are really cute together.

Though, it would be pedophilia for someone millenias old to "hit" on someone barely hitting on her puberty.

I love this comic.

Sad story indeed. Still clichés.

Did anyone else find it weird that Jen had a nightmare, even though Darkrai had the necklace still.

posted by Daniel (Guest) on July 3rd, 2018, 7:23 am

The necklace prevents Jen from having nightmares as a result of Darkrai's presence, not from nightmares in general. As for cliches, there is a reason why they became cliches in the first place. Sulpher has used those cliches thus far to better the story she is trying to tell, which is exactly what cliches should be used for. Regardless, this page in particular is poetic and very sweet.

Makes me wonder what kind of education Pokemon even get in PMD.

Does this mean I can be called Miss Anna?

@get in the bag nebby -- Prior to Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, there were no references to schools.

Red/Blue Rescue Team - Nobody taught the rescue teams. They had to learn as they go by fielding rescue/exploration/item finding requests. Eventually Makuhita's Dojo was started up to help newcomer rescue teams learn the ropes of rescuing. Also a HQ was established to provide all rescue teams with items, info, and money.

Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky - Explorer Guilds apparently were set up and the most famous guild was Wigglytuff's Guild. These guilds were where one could come and learn how to be an explorer. Marowak's Dojo was later started up to help explorer teams learn how to further handle mystery dungeons. The Explorers' Federation also assist guilds by providing them with information, items, and money.

Gates to Infinity - There were no institutes of learning outside the various element dojos you could use to power up your Pokemon and their moves. The player's team had to learn what to do on their own. HAPPI provided support in the form of items, money, and information.

Super Mystery Dungeon - This marks the first time a Pokemon School was established. Kids of Serene Village could come here to learn about the world and get prepare to tackle said world when they came of age. Across the otherside of the Water Continent, the Expedition Society is there to help newcomers learn how expeditions work. They also provide teams with items, information, and money.

@Daniel(Guest) No not really, the necklace prevents Darkrai himself from causing nightmares. It doesn't stop nightmares all together.

At Least Jen Can Sleep better now.

I guess it is a good thing, that Jen and Darkrai had this talk? There is a sense of closure. Darkrai is thousands of years old? Maybe Mew Two can figure out how old Darkrai is?

Am I the only one find it ironic that Jen had to be comforted by Darkrai because of nightmares?

posted by Guest on July 3rd, 2018, 11:22 am

I imagine him calling her Jen-sama in Japanese XD

Can’t be older than the universe is right? Assuming the universe isn’t older than the Big Bang. Or maybe the Pokémon universe was created differently I dunno. What am I doing rn.

Is it possible that Darkrai is causing the nightmare? Since his powers are strongest when the moon is not visible, maybe since the moon is nearly gone in this page, the necklace can't stop all of his influence?

Not to mention the fact that the necklace has been glowing ever since night fell.

Chill vibes and great friends is all I can say to it.

Darkrai is 173648923100 years old.

posted by somerandomguynumber1 on July 4th, 2018, 4:28 am

@Solaris The Seer - No. Darkrai's Dream Pearl completely blocks his ability to automatically cause nightmares to nearby sleeping Pokemon and humans. This was verified when Darkrai fainted from his injuries/illness after being brought to Pokemon Square (via raft) by Jen and Gengar.

Darkrai can only cause nightmares by removing the Dream Pearl from his neck. The pearl only glows when Darkrai's nightmare generation ability is active which the pearl completely suppresses.

Darkrai, the older you are, the wiser you get. It’s like leveling up!
