I'm surprised she's taking it ok because of what just happened

Who said she is taking it well? Sometimes life just is and you put one foot in front of the other and do the task in front of you because having a screaming fit about it gets you jackshit. She has got grit. I love that light pink fuzz ball. Which is saying a lot because I hate mew and she is also a little pink fuzz ball.

  Oh no

Hope Gardevoir is listening when balance is restored, Jen'll either need stitches or a Heal Pulse stat. The pressure she can exert herself while dragging something large and I dunno what's worse but probably metal stone or gemstone... the effectiveness of that pressure, I have doubts.

I'm getting some serious "ring-bearers in Mordor" vibes from these final pages.

Just keep moving foward Jen. Everything will work out somehow!

She needs a Medal of Freedom ASAP.
This girl has seen more than most men fighting in Afghanistan

Maybe Arceus will see this and have pity on Victini, or Hoopa will show up to help. ether or great comic.... and now I want whatever pokemon Jen is! (gine oner here)

Jen is on a mission....

Jen has been on such a long journey, and has met so many friends, and foes. She only wanted to help Vicinity, even after everything she has done. Now she can't focus on being sad and must remain focused on the mission. It really shows how Jen has grown from the beginning. (There are so many moments where she looked like she needed a hug.)

It's hard to portray time in a comic. Maybe she cried for a few minutes there, we don't know. But it's definitely gonna take a toll on her if Victini is really dead.

I think she is in shock still and is just doing something to keep her sanity.

Right now I hope things get better, but no turning human for anyone.

Wait, she has her right arm dead weight.

Poor thing!

That’s right Jen, finish the mission! Please don’t push yourself too hard though

Those Rainbow Six Siege reference though.

Jen is filled with DETERMINATION! And man those wounds look awful.

posted by ComicLover (Guest) on May 8th, 2018, 8:27 pm

I wonder if she’s crying because of the pain her wounds are causing, or because of Victini’s (almost certain) death. Call me strange, but Jen doesn’t seem like the type who’d cry for herself. Just one of the many qualities I love about her.

Also, and this probably makes me a bad person for saying this, I’m actually relieved that she’s crying now. When she first arrived at the void, she quickly stopped herself from crying and I was afraid that she was too “used” to all these horrible things happening. Which is something a child like her should NEVER be.

@CIR - When she first wanted to break down, but caught herself, consider what she had just went through when she entered the distortion.

1) She fell a long way down.

2) Gengar tried to catch her, but couldn't due to the distortion turning him into an actual ghost (intangible, but can still have limited physical contact).

3) She got separated from everyone else (this was before finding Mewtwo).

4) She woke up feeling "incomplete". We later learned this is due to the distortion rendering all Pokemon moves (techniques) and abilities (skills) unable to be performed.

5) She only snapped herself out of breaking down because the globe reminded her she has a job to do.

Well said.

@Ngamer01, Those are all good points, Jen is human. She was going to ball out crying, but she remembered her task, and stayed calm! Would you say that Jen has had a long day?
