Mewtwo's face looks derpy in the first panel because of the bandage ("hnh")
its funny and cute at the same time

Mewtwo has a certain disdain for master balls.

Understandable, considering how many I bet he's faced in his life!

Lopunny is like a kid who's about to go to the fair for the first time.

Also, I'm pretty sure Wes only picked that place as an example.

However, I agree with Mewtwo here. If I was a Pokemon, my basic attitude towards Poke balls in general would be "You will not stuff me into one of those." Not so much out of pride, but for reasons involving subatomic particles and souls (Star Trek teleporter & etc.)

Oh wow really?
That's a little harsh, Two.

Come on Mewtwo, having a trainer wouldn't be that bad.

It depends on the trainer though...

I just had this wonderful mental image of Mewtwo working in an office cubicle.

Serously, Mewtwo's face in panel 4 is just perfect.

As for the masterball thing, i don't blame him, but I can't agree, besides, as long as he is the one that owned the ball, no one could capture him.

And really, wes is right, Mewtwo needs to be running the pokemon Equivalent spacex, minus the idiots running things, really, we would more likely see less exploding rockets and more space colonists in space stations.

*So many fan-fictions of Mewtwo working various jobs. So little time...*

I wonder, if N and Wes exist in this continuity, that probably means Red does too... and I would be willing to bet that Mewtwo hasn't yet had his showdown with Red at Cerulean Cave. That battle would be genuinely epic, and I think that Mewtwo would change his opinion of the Pokémon/Trainer relationship, probably for the better.

This is just another scene showing (beautifully, I might add!) that Mewtwo's fatal flaw is his pride.

@MercenaryX: As long as he doesn't start the Pokemon equivalent of Tesla on top of it. With his mind he probably could design an electric car that can recharge just as fast as a gasoline car can refuel, and go the same distance on a charge to boot. Combine that with some actual business smarts and you have an extinction level event for the combustion engine except possibly in specialized sports cars. And then I would cry, because cars that don't make loud noises are against the natural order of things, and a life without gear jammin' is half the life it could be at best.

OC of a Ninetales street racer/getaway driver is still kicking around in my head. Draw your own conclusions. Funnily enough I've actually found a shifting technique that could get around the whole paws-instead-of-hands thing (and use same technique in real life, since it's supposed to help stop missed shifts anyway), steering, not so much, but I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out... or just take the "don't think too hard about it" excuse.

Well @Shotgun Chuck (Guest)
I would hope Mewtwo at least if he does go the Tesla route that he invents hover tech, that way we can get the Wipeout or F-Zero racing. You may lose the gas, but you get just as much boom if not more so if you have weapons on the track.

Jeeezuz. I'm probably a known pagejacker by now. Sooooo I kinda came up with this. It's harder for a Pokémon to mega evolve without a trainer. Howerever with training, or the proper power, or a legendarys blessing or all of them at once. So kinda my reason for Pokémon wanting to be caprured. Has nothing to do with the comic. Crap..... I hear the hate coming

Mewtwo, you have absolutely no room to comment. The Master Ball is entirely your fault.

You stated, earlier in the comic, that there's only two things Pokemon won't do. Fight to the death, and attack humans.

So why would you not expect humans to design a Poke Ball that works the first time, every time, when a Pokemon decides to kill everything within the "very long reach" of its mind, TWICE, let alone the attempt to wipe out the whole planet?

I would be astonished if the Master Ball being put into development AFTER the destruction of the Cinnabar Mansion was any kind of coincidence.
