Huh. Just occurred to me that in addition to the expected reunions between teams, N also did just show up carrying Jen's sister.

That should be a fun explanation. At least Mewtwo has apparently stopped bench-pressing her?

Also loving how often Jen's super-Audino-hearing manages to come up. (It's one of the two things Audinos are known for! And since the other is "giving tons of XP when you beat them up", it's probably the better one for her to get some use out of...)

Butterfree has a pretty sweg house. Not something I'd live in, it still sort of looks like something out of Dr. Seuss, but at least it's not in the shape of a head. I wouldn't put it past someone to try to make something like that in Minecraft, complete with the garish colors via dyed wool, stained clay, or glazed terracotta. It's also not an ugly, cookie-cutter suburban house, there's obviously been creativity and imagination put into it, so that's good I guess.

One thing I've noticed, though, is that the security and weather protection seem pretty awful with that balcony being open on at least two sides, probably three, and then an open hole leading to the lower levels. One, that design wouldn't do much to keep cold and rain out, and two, why even bother with a door, especially since so many potential burglars/serial killers/aggressive salesmen can fly in this world. At the very least I'd hang some sort of screen over those openings, but being Alaskan, and thus well aware of how awful cold, wind, and driving snow can be when they feel like it, I'd probably try to put something solid over those openings.

Of course, the weather thing may not be so much of a problem in a world where so many species can learn to change the weather at will, or just by their presence (i.e. you could potentially mitigate the lack of weather protection by finding someone who knows Sunny Day and bribing them with a gift card to a pizza parlor), but the theft-proofing is a whole other matter.

They finally meet up! I'm really looking forward to the next couple of pages. This is going to be interesting seeing all the different interactions that will happen.

I swear that Butterfree's house looks like he sells herbs out of his home, like the kinds for cooking, or medical use, and NO I don't mean the kind you lite up, seriously, what is wrong with you people.

As for Mewtwo and Jen's sister, this is going to be a very intresting conversation, and I bet we are going to see N and Mewtwo have a Heart to Heart with Darkrai.

At least then Darkrai might find some kindred spirits in those two or even three if Wes has any say.

This will definitely be interesting, especially if Jen's sister desides to wake up now

I wonder if @sulferbunny will make Jen, gengar, Medicham, lopunny, and mewtwo mega evolve. I mean they all can......MEGA GENGAR ALL DA WAY BABY!

Do NOT interrupt Gengar's naptime.

Hooray! The gangs all together! Though I doubt that Darkrai will be well enough to fix Lovrina.

Butterfree has a super-cute house.

And he's just flying around watering flowers oh my gosh he's so adorable. :3

Is poor Gengar ever going to get any sleep?

But oh boy, everybody's here! The whole gang's met up! Things are about to go down! Jen, your sister who maltreated your former half-kidnapper and current friend into going insane is now a Pokemon and in a coma, how do you feel about that?

Also, are we gonna stop the world from freezing any time soon...?

@Bwob (Guest): Actually, he was doing curls with her, since he was lifting in front of him, not above. And that's clearly different.
Although now I'm imagining Mewtwo has a nightly workout routine that uses Lovrina as the weight. And of course, Jen will ask who Mewtwo is is bench-pressing in the middle of it.
I'm guessing Jen's reaction to meeting her sister again will involve hugs, angry yelling, and some pounding, in some order.
Ok, lots of others have said it here, but I'm gonna say it too: that's a nice house you've got there, Butterfree. Speaking of him, I wonder what he'll think of all these guests after they start catching each other up.
"Wait, so you five used to be human [Gengar, Jen, N, Wes, Lovrina], but she's [Lovrina] in coma because she tried torturing Darkrai into submission, but you're [Jen] her sister who didn't know that, you [Mewtwo] were created by humans, and... you're the famous Team Charm! Can I get your footprint runes?"

@PJSam
Oho, hahaha. Yes, he will "fix" her alright. He'll fix her so hard that she will never breathe again.

@Shotgun Chuck
It's possible that there isn't much to steal, and I wouldn't be surprised if numerous homes had security faults. It's pretty hard to defend against theft in a world where everyone has their own brand of super powers AND you don't have sophisticated technology. Your best bet is probably a heavy, locked (if they have locks) trap door into a cave bunker. Metal walls will stop a few burrowers, but mostly you would need some sort of magic defense system... hmm, alarm system at least, maybe something that can sleep or paralyze... depends on how the world maker decides magic works.

Insulation is a good point, maybe some lower rooms are separated from that giant hole in the top level, maybe it's just a warmer climate.

I think your comments are fair, just my opinion on it.

@InfinitySquirrel

That is a very good point. Stuff that would send jaws to the floor in the human world is barely worth noticing here in the Pokemon world, and sometimes the species that you'd expect to be the most harmless are actually the most dangerous, or at least the most versatile. Absol in particular, for whatever reason, has an absolutely ridiculous movepool encompassing just about every special attack that was ever a TM, so depending on how seriously this setting takes the 4-move limit, it could be anything from a minor menace to a walking arsenal.

Truly theft-proofing a house in this setting would require the kind of stuff that, in the human world, is usually reserved for bank vaults, or maybe top secret military installations. I can't really claim to know how to do it, but I do know that bulky "sandwich armor" with layers of impact- and cut-resistant metal, something fireproof, and something acid-proof would just be the price of entry in this discussion. Clearly, not something the 99% could afford. So I guess you would have to rely on alarms and your own superpowers. Of course, it goes without saying that a bad movepool, in terms of off-type "coverage" attacks, is going to cause a serious problem here (*cough*Vulpix*coughcough*Eevee*cough*).

On the other hand, however, someone who isn't completely loaded and/or guarding ancient artifacts of power could probably safely assume that they'll be facing mainly "opportunity thieves", not geared-up professionals, and that the extent of their defenses would thus remain unknown to the would-be thief until the time of the attempted breach. Thus, their defenses don't need to be completely impenetrabale - they just need to stall the thief until they give up, or until they run out of time. One or two thieves won't have access to the full spectrum of Pokemon powers, so you could probably get away with two, or even one, thinner layers, depending on how many of the above-mentioned properties you can get in one (economical to use) material.

Be all that as it may, however, patching up those holes would at least do something to slow down a potential invader, and make their entry that much noisier.

Yay, I'm finally caught up! This has to be one of the best, if not the best, Pokemon comics I've ever read. Normally, I don't read such long comics, but I just couldn't stop reading this one.

@MercenaryX: Woobies Anonymous. Or would that be for people like me, who instantly fall in love with any character with a tragic backstory...?
