Feeling really hot is never a good sign...

I've said it once (I hope) but I'll say it again, Jen is honestly the bravest eleven-year-old since the Golden HP Trio.

And Gengar is awesome as usual.

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek
It's especially bad that he feels hot after getting soaked going down the rapids.

posted by PJSam on March 7th, 2017, 7:37 pm

@PJSam: Definitely. You'd think that would have brought any fever down a little.

Then again, if something's infected, they're going to have to treat that to get the fever down.

posted by ReaderWriterNerd&Geek on March 7th, 2017, 8:36 pm

@ReaderWriterNerd&Geek
Actually what I meant was that if he has an infection then making him cold would make his fever worse because the cold would weaken his immune system, his fever would then continue to rise as a result of his body trying to kill the infection until either the infection is gone or his brain literally melts.

@PJSam: Oh my gosh, I had no idea that could happen O.O OK, we need a Chansey/Blissey/something, stat!

If Darkrai feels really hot even after all that water, he's probs in a pretty bad condition...

I hope he doesn't die

Okay, just how quick was those rapids? Really, did Jen pull a move to teleport them or something into calm waters? I need to know if there are rapids are that short that anyone in the comments know about.

Also if he's running a fever then they need to put him in the water now to cool him down now!

posted by MercenaryX on March 8th, 2017, 3:58 pm

@MercenaryX
I refer you to my brain melting comment, if he has an infection then all cooling him would do is suppress his immune system and let the infection run hog wild. The main question is what would kill him first: the infection, the fever, dehydration as a result of the fever, or his original injuries.
And in answer to your question, I have seen rapids that only last around 30 yards in the Cascade Mountains here in Washington.

This comic is amazing.

I read though all 539 pages in the course of 6 hours. I'm so glad I read this. :)
