Oh thank God it actually was Mewtwo! Also wow this has gotta be surreal for everyone involved.

Wow, I actually recognize that expression Mewtwo is giving in the last panel. It's called the 'this is officially the worst day ever' look, better known as the 'whhhhat the &%#* face. He's going to have that look for the rest of the day, because that's how bad this is XD

This officially eliminates any allies he had from the other side, excluding his clone pokemon army of course.

Also, ahaha glam metal reject. I guess all he needs now is a bit of body glitter and he'd be set for the next show lol! And I see that thought bubble N, I know. Feelsbadman :(

I wonder what is going through his mind right now. I bets its something like, this cannot be happening right now, or maybe, this can't be real life, tell me this is just another one of my weird crazy psychic nightmares gone wrong.

N, I foresee that your day will get worse as it goes on. No need to get worried or angry here...

"what is happening"

Somebody taunted Murphy while I wasn't looking, I can tell. Remember, everyone, NEVER say that things can't get worse; the universe is listening, and eager to prove you wrong.

*is still fangirling helplessly over Mewtwo*

Well, Mewtwo, you're talking using telepathy, I mean, that's good, right? An improvement over the last time we saw you.

I must agree with everyone and said I love the expressions in this comic - in all of them, but this one in particular. N is trying desperately to convince Mewtwo that it's him, Wes is furious at everyone, and Mewtwo's just like, "I legitimately cannot deal with this right now."

I also love how things are tense and kind of sad, and then suddenly, Wes. XD

P.S. I just came here from reading The Stars Shine Bright by Tehpikachu (am shamelessly plugging for a friend, if everyone here hasn't already read it), and I totally expected N to have blood all over his hand.

Why does Mewtwo look so cute in the last panel? I want to pet him lol.

I'm just going to point it out now, hoopa the clever little ==== he is, intentionally made them dark types. There wasn't any chances involved story wise, hoop did this to cause problems between mewtwo and N and friends. This is to make it obvious to those who didn't find this out already.

You know, it just now occurred to me that the necklace N wears in the game styled art is shaped almost like the creation engine...guys, tell me I'm wrong please. Am I the only one that noticed this?

@rave917: I think several people picked up on that when their Pokemon forms were first revealed. Somehow, though, I missed the implication - he's intentionally trying to cause problems for the good guys here. There are three possible reasons that I can see:

1. He's actually working for the bad guys here

2. He's his own bad guy, but his master plan somehow depends on driving a wedge between Mewtwo and Co.

3. He just wants to watch the world burn.

Number 2 seems most likely to me. One possibility I thought of is that he wants his prison bottle and is going to attempt to maneuver N and Wes into getting it for them. He's put them in inconvenient Pokemon forms to make it more likely that they'll be desperate enough to go along even when they realize what he wants, but Mewtwo might still figure that out and try to stop that. To reduce the chances of M2 succeeding, Hoopa has simultaneously created trust issues between M2 and his human friends, denied him the ability to get the jump on the aforementioned turn of events, and given N and Wes a type advantage over M2 if it comes down to that.

Hoopa seems here to be pretty good at playing the long game, setting up plans and advantages that don't become obvious until much later. Makes you wonder, from multiple angles, how many times he's played his mind games before. If Pokemon really are as street-stupid as a lot of people imply, then that would make his shenaniganry a lot easier, but would also make it a lot harder to get better at it. Of course, we've seen that he can visit the human world any time he dang well pleases, so perhaps he's been practicing on humans.

I, meanwhile, am of the belief that not all Pokemon are as naive or as innocent or as "pure" as people tend to think - they're just as capable of being evil as humans are, and the ones that aren't are just as capable of finding clever ways to make the evil ones' lives harder.

Well well well

Looks like mewtwo is bordering on "F*** this S***, I'm out!" emotions at this point. Still, This is going to be a big long story.

I wanna see a crossover between Victory Fire and Silver Resistance.

mewtwo looks so stoned out of his mind right now. Understandeble in his Situation though

I can't help but notice that N is stronger than Wes...

Well to be fair it's easier to carry someone when you're taller then them. And Gourgeist and Krokorok roughly the same size.

posted by PJSam on December 29th, 2016, 1:38 pm

Yeah, it's also because N has more muscle mass then Wes there, Mind you if Wes worked out and got Ripped as F***, then he wouldn't have much issue as well.

@MercenaryX Can't tell if sly reference to supertraining or if it was meant that Wes literally hit the gym and start pumping iron as a crocodile.
