Yes! New Page! And double YES! we will see what happens to N! And the other two, which names I have forgotten...

There are a lot of scratches on those trees. Those two had best be on guard.

Woo, early page!

Also, I completely agree with Wes on this one. Nature is best appreciated from a distance.

Also also, I'm calling it now: N is originally from the PMD world. It explains his abilities and his mysterious childhood.

"Why does this feel so much like coming home" Okay time to make a long list of crazy assumptions from this one line of text!

2.) N simply feels at ease with Pokemon all the time, so being a Pokemon in their land feels like where he belongs.

3.) N was originally always a Zoroark and he never realized it.

4.) Cross breed between Human and Pokemon?!?!?! (wut)

5.) N is a reincarnation of a Pokemon to Human?

6.) When N was forced to live among abused Pokemon, he was inside the pre-pokemon world, and was a Zorua disguised as his original Human appearance.

what i'm getting is that he was turned into a human from being a pokemon and that's why he can talk to them

posted by Tehpikachu on December 19th, 2016, 4:51 pm

Technically, nobody agreed to this, Wes.

So... what would happen if he had told Hoopa to make him a cheese sandwich?

sorry if it's obvious, i'm pretty dense

posted by DKWIdoin on December 19th, 2016, 6:42 pm

  What would happen.

Heh honestly I didn't realize that was such a common phrase.

To answer you @DKWIdoin the whole idea behind the genie myth is they will take whatever you wish for..and grant it to where it matches what yous aid word for word...but other than that is granted in the worst possible manner.

"I wish my grandpa wasn't dead". he's an undead brain eating zombie..or for the worst case..congrats he's now his coffin..burried 6 feet underground

So consider what is said.

"Make me a cheese sandwich"

What is the worst possible way to interpret that wish..and still do what the words literally say? Yeah I know I havn't said the answer right out, but I figure hinting towards it might do well it's an ok thought excersize which are always fun.

@Guest_(Guest) I'm hoping for option 4 above all else.

As for Wes? He's got every right to be mad, but he shouldn't be mad at N because he didn't do anything to stop it, and most of all N is just too innocent. Even after the events of the games.

But I for one am hoping those two get over this little issue because they will have issues coming that are more important to deal with.

Also I really REALLY hope the Mischivious, and Wes' two eon's are out there scouting for them. I am really hoping to see Wes get hassled by his pokemon for some things in the past like wrong food types or the wrong brand or something.

This would be epic, and it's also nice to see these two get a little heated, shows just how human they both are even while as pokemon.

Now just have to say that N better watch out for the Fujoshi girls out there before they start shipping N and Wes as their pokemon selves. God what would happen if they found the art or stories with those two? *Shutters*

I suspect these guys are about to run into the others. Which is a problem, as they've got Lovrina and the others have Darkrai.

Until then, we have Wes taking it about as well as can be expected, and N not caring 'cause he's a crazy hippie. Good times, good times.

posted by Shotgun Chuck (Guest) on December 19th, 2016, 8:52 pm

Whoa, I know that a lot of people are kind of assuming that 'N was a pokemon this whole time wearing a human disguise and doesn't remember anything from his past life due to double jeopardy inter-dimensional mind erasure' but, I think the simple answer is that he's (and I hope I don't offend anybody who actually is one) literally a pantheist bohemian stereotype living in the modern day. In other words, he's a pure nature loving hippie to the 'Nth' extreme. Heheh, I made a pun on his name...praise me!

Basically, he just feels more at one with nature, hence the long hair and his name Natural Harmonia Gropius, also he had a human father, and his name was Ghetsis (I still can't get the game's battle theme from playing back inside my own head after hearing, saying or reading that name and it's haunting my dreams!). And what a great Dad he was, right? A true model role indeed, locking his son inside an exact replica of Richie Rich's bedroom while that haunting background melody keeps playing 24/7. Yeah, is it any wonder why he ran away...? (That's how serial killers are made!)

As for his hidden ability, there have been other humans in the anime with unique abilities, such a Sabrina - a psychic, and Damos from Arceus and the Jewel of Life whose ability I believe more closely matches what N possesses.

And then there's Ash of course...who seems to have an aptitude for everything.

@XD-MADNESS Sans the Skeleton would be proud. Because that as good as his Puns.

Also XD, There's also two from the anime that can speak and understand pokemon outside of N. Like that one old man in Episode 197(195 because of cut episodes in english) of the anime. Simon was his name, and he could understand what pokemon say as if it was English(relative to the dub). Mostly from the Young Simon in his flashback.

But then I take this to understand, and I'm using the lore in the original Japanese version for this, that from the orginal if literaly translated and I refuse to acknowlage the offical english release because it'd stupid, that the following is said.

“Sinnoh Folk Story 3”
There once were Pokémon that married people.
There once were people who married Pokémon.
This was a normal thing because long ago people and Pokémon were the same.

This is from the direct Japanese text, which lets the number 4 option that guest said happen for both N and Simon. They are decenents of human and pokemon couples. And though I'm loath to use it, Matt Pat from Game theory proves that in the pokemon world, humans are just another type of pokemon that splintered off the family tree so drastically we are almost our own species.

So it's not that impossible an idea for it to happen that more humans are able to understand pokemon languages like they understand humans.

As for Ash, I think his father is a Lucario and his mother was mated to a pokemon, it kind of would explaine why Latias was so enamored with him to the point that the movie had what I really think was the pokemon in human form kissing Ash, but it was left up to us to figure it out.

But then I'm an eon-shipper (Ash & Latias couple), but then it's a way WAY more believable couple then most crap you see now a days, more so in Hollywood movies or Hollywood couples.

@sulfurbunny I love how N looks as a pokemon in panels 2 and 3, and I can soo see Wes in the last panel, at least in the eyes even if his face is fully alien to what it used to be, and the way that N snares in 6 and starts to show annoyance in 5 makes me think of his human expressions. You really did a wonderful job. And the regret we see in panel 4 for N, how did you make a pokemon face like that look so human?

@Flame Shadow those are just aspen trees, they naturally look like that

I feel ya Wes, if something like this happened to me I'd be a bit moody as well.

@DKWIdoin "make me a cheese sandwich" = turn me into a cheese sandwich.

Least he wasn't turned into a Magikarp....

posted by Midnight_Cat on December 20th, 2016, 6:16 am

Wes, you mad bro?

Sorry, just his irritation is just funny. Also, he needs to suck it up & deal with it.

P.S. Hoping they meet up with Gengar & Jen soon.

posted by bey108 (Guest) on December 20th, 2016, 7:12 am

If they do actually run into Gengar and Jen, and Darkrai actually hears Lovrina's name, he's going to go into an unstoppable killing frenzy and I doubt one Focus Blast is going to be enough to bring him back to his senses this time.

OoooOoH, Cheese Sandwich, I love cheese, cheese is yummy and yellow and so squeezy and I just want to eat it! XD

It's the small victories really, Wes should really see that.

posted by MercenaryX on December 20th, 2016, 8:23 pm

Yeah, when you think about the idea of being turned into a Pokemon... there are so many ways to lose the species lottery, it's not even funny. Even if you rule out all the fish pokemon or anything else that requires a very specific environment, and all the ones with a horrible weakness or an incompatibility with normal lifestyles (anything with external flames, anything without eyes, and a lot of poison types), that still leaves a lot of pokemon that have crummy movepools or otherwise can't fight worth beans, and, if you're a guy, a lot of pokemon that will get ribbed to no end.

One example I thought of, from the "sounds cool for the first five seconds and baleful after that" file, is Vulpix/Ninetales. Congratulations, you can breathe, absorb, and control fire! And if you're a Christian like me, that's ALL you can do, because the rest of its movepool is almost all Ghost, Dark, or Psychic, and most of that is the kind of cancer that's only really good for being a gigantic cheeselord and triggering people to death (see: Confuse Ray and a lot of TMs no one cares about). The selection of off-type "coverage" attacks is hot garbage and is actually getting worse because of TM discontinuations. So even if you found some kind of hairgel equivalent to deal with Vulpix's lamentable "cake frosting Trumpadour", you'd always be a useless one-trick pony relying on luck and MacGyverisms to take on anything that was Water or Ground type or had Flash Fire like you. Not that you couldn't pull off some utterly bonkers action-movie stuff once in a while, but still. The story is the same with a lot of other species.

In view of that, I think these two should just be happy they ended up with something that can walk on land, won't get beaten up in sports bars, and won't scorch/contaminate their surroundings.

..... hey, what happened to umbreon and espeon

posted by Tehpikachu on December 21st, 2016, 4:55 am

This is what I'm asking about all the time @Tehpikachu

I just hope, I mean REALLY hope that both Umbreon, Espeon and Misschiveus are there as well.

I'd say that since they've obviously been walking through the woods for a while, its pretty safe to say that their pokeballs didn't come with them and are either being kept by Hoopa as collateral, or they went wherever their cloths went.
