mewtwo's attitude changed suddenly, is it him encouraging jen to learn to fight or does he still disagree with her joining them?

Mewtwo isn't just being a jerk. By putting Jen on the spot this way, either (a) she'll give up wanting to battle, or (b) she'll prove that she really, truly is ready to take this stuff seriously. Either way, it's a win for Mewtwo.

Wow, her first battle. And its against a pokemon with stats that rival that of Arceus himself. I can't imagine why she'd be so hesitant on attacking him. I guess that she must not want to learn that badly. Welp, sorry guys, I guess its time to turn back the way we came, Jen is wimping out on battle training. How ungrateful of

Beat him up, Jen!

Don't believe in yourself Jen! Believe in the me, that believes in you! Kick logic to the curb and do the impossible!

Dynamic puuuuuuuuuunch!

(on a serious note) Good on Mewtwo for doing this. Seriously speaking, Jen is probably going to have to face a powerful opponent at some point, and being in a group or not, she's going to have to pull her own weight. This puts her words to the test of whether she can truly go with them without being a dead weight. :D

Jen "O-okay..."

Jen used Pound. It misses.

Mewtwo mega evolves into Mega Mewtwo X!

Mewtwo uses Focus Punch! It's super effective!

Okay, Mewtwo wouldn't go overboard with her...

Quick Jen, throw a Pokeball and hit a, b, and down! That'll take care of him!

I think the text in the fourth panel with mewtwo's speech is out of order

This can't go wrong

Sure thing, Jen. Fight Mewtwo. He's just one of the strongest beings in existence, engineered for combat. What could go wrong?

Lol at the last panel, he looks like he's going to use the omnitrix..

and Lopunny seems to have something to say about how he's treating Jen If the feminist vibes i got from her when she appeared first in the comic is correct.

Mewtwo sounds like my Kempo Teacher, she goes on about how the strong honur the weak by fighting them and making them learn. Or that's how I'm kind of seeing it.

Mewtwo used guilt/pride tactics!

Hmm, Lopunny has been watching Jen quite a bit. I wonder what's going through her mind...

Hold on, doesn't Jen know low kick from back at that time where she kicked Gengar in the gonads?

that wasn't low kick, that was taekwondo (probably still low kick, probably)
