Parted on "good" terms...

You know, usually when someone whispers cryptic messages and how things won't go as expected, you're gonna have a bad time.

Good terms compared to the alternative.

Seeing Gengar covered in blue energy makes it seem suspiciously like he's using aura. I wonder... was his past self an aura user?

Also, if the Mewtwo in this one is the same one from the movie, then wouldn't that technically make him half human and half pokemon?

So many possibilies...

@XD-MADNESS - I always figured Mewtwo had to have a little bit of human DNA given the way he looks. It's been a very long time since I saw the movie though, is that actually canon?

As for Gengar, Mewtwo observed back on page 342 that Gengar is able to perceive auras, and that he has some psychic ability.

It is actually!

In the movie, the uncut version, Dr. Fuji used a part of his daughter's DNA, which was mixed with the DNA of the three Kanto starter pokemon (Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur) along with Mew's DNA of course. So, technically, a part of his daughter's genetics still live on within - that - Mewtwo. I would assume that the same conditions for creating a - Mewtwo - would apply to the other one that showed up in Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened.

Actually, now that I think about it, this might explain why the Mewtwo in the new movie was about to mega-evolve on her own, as mega-evolution requires a very deep human connection for it to be a successful transformation.

  mega evolution

@XD-MADNESS
"as mega-evolution requires a very deep human connection for it to be successful"

Says the anime..

I understand what you're saying.

Hey, as dumb of a game/anime mechanic as needing humans as a requirement for pokemon to go mega sounds, the concept has grown too big now for gamefreak/nintendo to scrap at this point.

I'll be honest though, I didn't really like the idea of mega-forms being introduced from the start (fickle reasons/thought it was unnecessary), and I still don't, but its not going anywhere. Unless something completely nuts ends up happening in the Kalos region, where one or all of those huge mega-crystals is destroyed - thus rendering mega-evolution as a whole no longer achievable, then the (human-connection + megastone + keystone = mega-evolution) is forever a permanent fixture to the pokemon franchise.

And yes, I'm sorry but, past - Pokemon Black & White - it is canon, in both the main games, and the anime.

I can't say anything about PSMD yet though, since I haven't played it yet, but was there supposed to be more than one human being turned into a pokemon this time around? I thought I heard something like on a youtube commercial or something...
