I honestly just love the way the bad guys are portrayed in this comic, really. It's so sweet that they all have something they want to protect.

It just goes to show that we all must do what we gotta do, it opens up the grey-scale of evil. the "bad guys" of this comic are very well written and are in a sense are protagonists in of themselves.

...is his houndour shiny?

@Imperial

Thank you for the comments. It means a lot to us that you guys would feel that way. Something Night and I have said between ourselves before is that "there are no villains in Victory Fire". No, not even Victini--but we'll get to that in time. :)

On a more general note: It's kind of a struggle for me sometimes not to make massive author comments on the comics, because I know what's going on and why of course, but I don't want to spoil the unfolding experience for other people. That's why we're so quiet as a rule--we try to let the pages speak for themselves. Sometimes that means a single page has to do a lot of work! Our pages are very small and we've got very little room for dialogue, so every word is carefully chosen. VF is full of clues for the curious. (If you didn't originally spot Darkrai's "scar" on page four, it's okay, neither did most of DeviantART)

I'm not sure where I'm going with this really except to say, I personally really love doing this comic and I'm really grateful to you all for reading it so closely. Every time someone picks up one of our little hints or foreshadowings we're all "eee!"

  DEM FEELS!

@Imperial: You forgot Victini. He's a willing villain.

She's not asleep? Is she unconscious or just crying? It's all so sad.

We know that she's still alive, at least....

@sulfurbunny: Well I have to say, even though there are no real villains in the comic, I say it makes more of a realistic turn to the story and I believe it's what makes this comic interesting to most of us^^ So yeah, keep on enjoying making the comic because every minute we wait is worth the while~

Don't you stop, don't you dare stop this comic, I've not seen a good one like this in a while and if you end it suddenly and without any proper resolve for all involved, I'll find you, hunt you down, stick you in a giant tub of jello ala Ghostbusters 2 and let the kids of the Xnone jupter space bugs fat camp gobble you up.

@MercenaryX
LOL, guess we'll take that as a compliment.
There will be an eventual end to VF, but it's a looong way off yet. Barring some sort of catastrophic event, VF won't end prematurely.

  Whoa

Oaky its one thing to capture the lord of nightmares and force a pack of houndooms to hunt down a little girl, as grumpy gengar, and an old kecleon but-KIDNAPPING?! seriously Victini now you`ve gone to far!
