  Thank you

I immensely enjoy your work, although I find myself saying that a lot with these pokemon comics... I like this one because unlike a lot of other authors you've made it with a very serious storyline, and you made the main characters actually have to struggle. Most others depict themselves as mighty and powerful "gods" in thier own comics. Trust me when you actually end up in the pokemon world and you have to fight for your life, you learn that you are not the badass you supposed yourself to be. You can only get that strong through years of practice.
Sorry, I tend to rant when it comes to pokemon. I'm happy to say that I have no such qualms with this one, good job! However, there was one piece that confused me, when the houndoom were puzzling over the drawings they should have recognized them for what they were. Contradictory to popular belief, pokemon are usually as smart as we are.

Groudonkid - Thank you for the lovely comment. It's been our philosophy with Victory Fire to try to imagine how it would really be for a kid to be thrown into a world full of superpowered talking animals, many of which want to eat you, in a body you don't understand. If you didn't find allies fast you might well end up dead by nightfall, as almost happened to Jen!

Regarding the drawings - there are reasons for why the Houndoom didn't recognize them and Kecleon did. This will come up later in the story as a plot element so I don't want to explain too much at the moment. I will say that Pokémon ARE capable of a high level of abstract thought, but ONLY if they have had the opportunity to learn. Many Pokémon who grew up in the more "civilized" regions will be able to do such things as read/write footprint runes and recognize pictures as representations of objects (although DRAWING a picture is another level - even Smeargles only seem to be able to make random lines and splatters from the research we've done on the anime and such). A Pokémon that is able to recognize human writing can be assumed to have had extensive contact with humans in the past. Did I say too much? :D

  Glad to help

Sulfurbunny- Thank you for clearing that for me. As for research please allow me to help if you leave a comment on here asking a question it's more than likely that I can help, and I will continue to be an avid reader of your comic so I will be available to answer most of the time. As for civilized drawings, keep in mind that smeargle create such "squigly lines" as markers for their territory, and that each variation means something. Also all of the art and maps that you see in the towns of the "mystery Ilses" are done by pokemon. I just hope I'm not being a bother to you in making these points.

I think I already know who that is disguised as Gardevoir now xD.

Either way though, I say the series has been absolutely outstanding. I really have enjoyed every issue and I honestly love how you portray every character with different characteristics, personalities and styles. I really love were you're going with the story and I also love how it's got a different scenery to the other pmd comics I have read.
